Roger uses and is familiar with, and uses, a number of therapies including:
Cognitive Therapy (CT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT)
Brief Solution Focused Therapy
Clients who have an approved WorkCover or insurance related claim and require psychological services as a result of the claim can access psychological services free of charge, when referred with a letter from their treating medical doctor.
Transport Accident Commission (TAC)
Clients who have an approved TAC claim and require psychological services as a result of the claim can access psychological services free of charge, when referred with a letter from their treating medical doctor.
Victims of Crime
Clients who are victims of crime may also access psychological services free of charge.
Medicare- Bulk Billing
Clients who present with a referral from their Doctor (GP), Psychiatrist or Paediatrician and have a Mental Health Care Plan and are pensioners, receiving Centrelink benefits, or in genuine financial hardship will be Bulk Billed.
Medicare will pay for up to 10 sessions per calendar year. Sessions are 50-55 minutes.
For clients not meeting the Medicare-Bulk Billing requirements above, or who would prefer to not attend under the Medicare system, a fee per session of $114.80 is payable. This fee is payable at the appointment.
The Medicare rebate of $84.80 may be claimed if you have a valid referral and a Mental Health Care Plan. The out of pocket fee is $30.00.
Clients with private insurance cover are advised to check with their insurer as to whether their level of cover will pay for psychological services, the financial limit or number of sessions covered.
Medicare Safety Net
Clients may incur out-of-pocket costs if they are charged a fee in excess of the Medicare rebate for services received. These out-of-pocket costs count toward the Medicare Safety Net.
Clients are advised to register for the Medicare Safety Net.
